THE MOTIVATION
In a fast-growing tech world where emerging Neurotechnologies are improving by the minute, Neuroethics is a given. Neuroethics Today is raising awareness on the ethical and societal implications of neuroscience research and practices by questioning the science and informing the public about the importance and urgency to do so. Neuroethics Today was founded January 2019 in Maastricht, The Netherlands by Katherine Bassil. Katherine had just finished her Masters degree at Maastricht University and had just started her PhD project in Neurosciences. When Katherine got acquainted with the field of Neuroethics, a subject that was non-existent at the university where she was undergoing her studies, she decided to take initiative and raise awareness on the ethical and societal implications of neurosciences research and practices. It was there and then that she launched the Neuroethics Today Podcast.
